HD video, color, 16:9, 2026

Modou Modou is a documentary that follows three brothers: the Senegalese street vendors Youssou, Bass and Kamal. While their work locations in Spain and Senegal are the setting for the rituals of street vending, their homes are the backdrop for everyday domestic scenes, including conversations about Senegalese society in transition.

So far the film is supported by Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds, Atelier Graphoui, AFRICALIA, Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie, Mino Art Space, Beursschouwburg and Gouvernement. We’re reaching out to find the necessary funds to finish the film. Through Friends of Auguste Orts Fund, established under the auspices of the King Baudouin Foundation, donations can be deducted from taxes.

This allows us to receive gifts and in exchange, to deliver a fiscal certificate, 45% of the sum being deducted from the yearly taxes of the donor from 40 euros. In order to beneficiate from this certificate you will need to communicate your details, national number and address.
